Hocking Hills Escapes
Hosts, Lauren and Andy Dick moved to the Athens, Ohio area in 1994 to attend Ohio University and Hocking College. It was here that they fell in love with each other and the Southeastern Ohio Region. In 2000, the first 4 acres and a cabin were purchased adjacent to Waterloo Woods Wildlife Area. Over the past 25 years, they have acquired more acreage, now owning 91 acres and featuring three beautiful cabins to share with lucky guests!

Note: Early check-in or late check-out may be available, but must be arranged in advance and are subject to additional fees. We require lead time to prepare cabins for new guests, and our cabins have low vacancy with limited turnaround time between bookings.
Cancellation Policy
- Reservations require pre-payment.
- Cancellations made up to the close of business at least 14 days or more before your arrival date will result in a 100% refund to the payment method on file (VRBO account).
- Cancellations made at least 7 days before your arrival date will receive a 50% refund to the payment method on file (VRBO account)
- Cancellations that are less than 7 days or before your scheduled arrival date will result in the loss of the first night’s cabin rental fee and the reservation fee.
- We realize that emergencies happen, and with proof, we may consider waiving penalties.

House Rules
Minimum age to rent:
- Age 23 years, subject to proof with a Government-issued ID
Children
Our properties are all Family Friendly.
Events
No onsite parties or events are allowed.
No bachelor or bachelorette parties permitted.
Pets
Only dogs are allowed:
- We love dogs. A maximum of two dogs are permitted with an additional $25 cleaning fee per stay (not per pet).
- Sorry, no cats or other pets allowed.
Smoking
- Smoking is never permitted indoors. A clinging indoor smoke odor will incur additional cleaning fees after checkout.
- Smoking may be allowed in designated outdoor areas on a cabin-by-cabin basis.
Damage and incidentals
Guests are responsible for any damage to the rental property caused by the primary renter or their party during their stay. This also includes damages by pets, children, or unregistered guests.
Important information you need to know
- Extra-person charges may apply and vary depending on the property
- Government-issued photo identification and a credit card, debit card, or cash deposit may be required at check-in for incidental charges
- Special requests are subject to availability upon check-in and may incur additional charges; special requests cannot be guaranteed
